PlusDock 1.0 SP1 was released February 1st, 2005.

This maintenance release fixes various bugs and improves the performance of many of the controls in the library.

• Improved handling of the Windows Xp theme support:
  
  • Rendering is now done correctly on operating systems that do not support Windows Xp themes. You can force the rendering of a Xp theme using the ThemeForced member and you can also retrieve the associated colors using the ThemeFactory class.
  • Border problems are corrected
  • Drawing is up to 15% faster
• Improved docking engine
  
  • Optimized re-docking for close neighbor windows
  • Improved page docking
• Added various members among which:
  
  • The "PageStatus" member for pages together with the "PageStatusChanged". This member will simplify the following of a page between states
  • "PopupAutoHideWindow" and "CollapseAutoHideWindow" add programatical capabilities for showing or hiding the autohide windows.
• Layout persistence improvements:
  
  • Layout save is up to 10% faster
  • Layout restore is up to 5% faster
  • Pages are now restored properly when the pages are in a floating window
• Improved design-time support:
  
  • Custom code serialization was optimized.
  • All designable objects (DockModel, DockPanelToolWindow, DockPanelToolWindowPage, DockPanelDocument and DockPanelDocumentPage) will now display an "Action Menu" that gives access to quick commands:
    
    

    The new designer Action Menu lets you interact with the currently selected object, for example a page, but it also allows you to interact with the model or with the parent window. Besides the custom commands, you can also access the default commands, when needed. The new Action Menu makes working with PlusDock as easy as possible. Layouts like the one below can be done in just a few clicks:

It is recommended that you uninstall the previous version of the library before installing the new one. In the uninstall process you will be asked if you wish to preserve the existing licensing file and serial number. You can safely answer yes to preserve the licensing information and the new installed version will work of the old license without problems. If you do not have a valid license or if your evaluation license is expired you can always get an extension for your license by going at the following web address:

In order to use the new updated version of PlusDock you must download and reinstall the library. To do so, please download the installer from here:

New Releases Preview

PlusSuite 2.0 PlusSuite has been around for almost a year now and its new and improved version is right around the corner. It contains many new controls and a lot of new features for the old ones: PlusTabControl: Advanced tab control allowing simultaneous tabs on all four sides of the control, multi-line tab strips, themes and smart visual inheritance. PlusTreeView: Tree like control that comes with two variations: regular tree control and group tree view. Both variations include state-of-the art tree rendering, superior design time support and unmatched features. PlusTimePicker: A time picker control. PlusCalculatorCombo: A textbox connected to a drop-down calculator that allows basic arithmetic operations. FloatingMenu: a general purpose context menu that allows command grouping in collapsible groups with shadow and transparency. PlusSuite proved to be a solid control library, and the next version will be much better. PlusBars 1.0 PlusBars is the third library to complete the trilogy that will come together into one final library. PlusBars will include various GUI components like: PlusMenu: A highly customizable menu control PlusToolBar: Advanced toolbar control PlusStatusBar: A status bar with enhanced features PlusExplorerPane: General purpose explorer panel PlusTaskPane: Office-like task pane.
