The windows in the PlusDock model can be docked in various ways but probably the most used one is docking using the mouse cursor. In order to facilitate the docking the model will show the docking hint, which is a rectangular area marked by a floating rectangle which shows where will the window be docked to. The docking can be done as follows:

  • On any of the 4 sides of a tool window
  • On any of the 4 sides of the dock model root container
  • Vertically on the left or on the right alongside two stacked windows
  • Horizontaly on top or on the bottom alongside two adiacent windows

New in Version 3.0: modern docking hints using the Visual Studio 2005 style.
